FREE CULTURAL & NATURE GUIDED WALKS

Kuala Lumpur, meaning “muddy confluence”, grew along two significant rivers - the Gombak & Klang rivers. With huge tin deposits discovered in the area, it attracted more prospectors and soon became a natural, bustling trading post. The area has endured the years from where it all began and is still the heart of the city today. From a small riverine town, KL had grown into a multicultural metropolis and become the nation’s capital city.

Learn how the city grew from clusters of different ethnic communities to eventually a sprawling metropolis filled with contrasting and diverse cultures and landscapes.
