FREE CULTURAL & NATURE GUIDED WALKS
Kuala Lumpur, meaning “muddy confluence”, grew along two significant rivers - the Gombak & Klang rivers. With huge tin deposits discovered in the area, it attracted more prospectors and soon became a natural, bustling trading post. The area has endured the years from where it all began and is still the heart of the city today. From a small riverine town, KL had grown into a multicultural metropolis and become the nation’s capital city.
The KL Cultural & Nature Walks, a series of four city guided walk tours will enlighten you of the growth of KL, with well-preserved historical landmarks and buildings. Learn how the city grew from clusters of different ethnic communities to eventually a sprawling metropolis filled with contrasting and diverse cultures and landscapes. The best thing about these guided trails is that they are FREE, provided by the KL Tourism Bureau.
